Ira is also engaged by global consulting firms and by investor groups to validate and enhance market-growth strategies for their portfolio companies or as part of a due-diligence process. Ira consults to a number of United Nations agencies, and to the Canadian and Ontario Governments. He has negotiated UNICEF interests in Sub-Sahara Africa; has been the sole foreign member of a presidential committee working on public adoption of Governance strategy in West Africa (2010); in Russia, for nine large retail chains on a successful defense strategy in the face of threats of incursions by global retailers (2009), and in Colombia to prepare and professionalize domestic industries to access global markets (2011).

Formerly, Ira was CEO and Principal of one of the world’s largest global retail and consumer strategy, marketing and Brand consultancies, leading a 200+ professional staff. The company was recognized by the Harvard Business School for “creating unconventional solutions to classic revenue-improvement problems, using strategic marketing, branding and design to effect change in consumer response”. Teich has worked with hundreds of the world’s most powerful brands. His company was recognized by Wal-Mart as “most valued Supplier of the Year”.

 
 
Previous positions include Head of Strategy for a Fortune 100 multinational, and Sr. Partner heading up the Market Strategy Practice for a global Consultancy. Canadian born, Ira has worked or traveled in over 60 countries and is trained in a variety of business and market cultures.
